Animal cruelty and neglect has become such a problem that SPCA's and Animal Anti-cruelty leagues cannot keep up with the work anymore. They lack manpower and funds.

The first step to abusing people is animal abuse. If a person abuses an animal there is a good chance that they will in turn abuse people at a later stage.

Many wild animals are becoming extinct because people want to have trophies of animals they have shot hanging on their walls.
